May 10-16, 2021: Weekly Prayer Calendar

A month of receiving blessings we have from God, to pray for ourselves and others

Monday, May 10. “Then Jesus said to his disciples: ‘Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat; or about your body, what you will wear. For life is more than food, and the body more than clothes. Consider the ravens: They do not sow or reap, they have no storeroom or barn; yet God feeds them. And how much more valuable you are than birds! Who of you by worrying can add a single hour to your life? Since you cannot do this very little thing, why do worry about the rest?” (Luke 12:22-26).

Tuesday, May 11. “And God is able to bless you abundantly, so that in all things at all times, having all that you  need, you will abound in every good work” (2 Corinthians 9:8).

Wednesday, May 12. “Mercy, peace and love be yours in abundance” (Jude 2).

Thursday, May 13. “Blessed are the peacemakers for they shall be called children of God” (Matthew 5:9). Lord, help us to see that we are blessed to be a blessing for your glory.

Friday, May 14. “Blessed is the one whose transgressions are forgiven, whose sins are covered. Blessed is the one whose sin the Lord does not count against them and in whose spirit is no deceit” (Psalm 32:1-2). Thank you, Lord, for the blessing of forgiveness we have because of Jesus.

Saturday, May 15. “You are my hiding place; you will protect me from trouble and surround me with songs of deliverance” (Psalm 32:7).

Sunday, May 16. “But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people belonging to God that you may declare the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His wonderful light” (1 Peter 2:9).
