Monday, August 29. Praise God! He is our righteous judge. “He rules the world in righteousness and judges the peoples with equity” (Psalm 9:8).
Tuesday, August 30. Praise God! He is Jesus! “She will give birth to a son, and you are to give him the name Jesus, because he will save his people from their sins” (Matthew 1:21).
Wednesday, August 31. Praise God! In Him is joy. “You make known the path of life; you will fill me with joy in your presence, with eternal pleasures at your right hand” (Psalm 16:11).
Thursday, September 1. Spend some time in quiet confession. “At one time we too were foolish, disobedient, deceived and enslaved by all kinds of passions and pleasures. We lived in malice and envy, being hated and hating one another” (Titus 3:3).
Friday, September 2. Spend some time in joyful thanksgiving! “But when the kindness and love of God our Savior appeared, he saved us, not because of righteous things we had done, but because of his mercy. He saved us through the washing of rebirth and renewal by the Holy Spirit, whom he poured out on us generously through Jesus Christ our Savior, so that, having been justified by his grace, we might become heirs having the hope of eternal life” (Titus 3:4-7).
Saturday, September 3. Jesus, You are the One who has shown us what is good and what is required of us. By Your Spirit’s power, show us how to “act justly, and to love mercy and to walk humbly with our God” (Micah 6:8).
Sunday, September 4. Father God, give our students a helpful, receptive, teachable attitude. “May these words of my mouth and this meditation of my heart be pleasing in your sight, Lord, my Rock and my Redeemer” (Psalm 19:14).
