December 13-19, 2021: Weekly Prayer Calendar

Advent Prayers—Week #3: JOY

Monday, December 13. “You make known to me the path of life; you will fill me with joy in your presence, with eternal pleasures at your right hand” (Psalm 16:11).

Jesus, because of Your life, we can live and abundant and victorious life. Because of Your life in us, we can enjoy Your presence. Because You lived and died, we have eternal life.

Tuesday, December 14. “Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice!” (Philippians 4:4).

Jesus, we can rejoice in You because Your Spirit lives in us and produces joy. We thank You for the gift of joy, an antidote to fear.

Wednesday, December 15. Though you have not seen him, you love him; and even though you do not see him now, you believe in him and are filled with an inexpressible and glorious joy” (1 Peter 1:8).

Even though we do not see You with our physical eyes, Jesus, our belief in You and Your promises to us are our source of joy.

Thursday, December 16. “For you make me glad by your deeds, Lord; I sing for joy at what your hands have done. How great are your works, Lord, how profound your thoughts!” (Psalm 92:4-5).

We praise You for Your deeds, O Lord, and for the works of Your hands. Your care for us brings us joy.

Friday, December 17. “The precepts of the Lord are right, giving joy to the heart. The commands of the Lord are radiant, giving light to the eyes” (Psalm 19:8).

We praise You for Your Word, a source of joy and gladness in our hearts when we hear Your Words and put them into practice.

Saturday, December 18. “But let all who take refuge in you be glad; let them ever sing for joy. Spread your protection over them, that those who love your name may rejoice in you” (Psalm 5:11).

Thank You, Father, for being our refuge and covering us with Your protection. Your care for us brings songs of joy to our lips.

Advent Prayers—Week #4: LOVE

Sunday, December 19—Fourth Sunday of Advent. “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life” (John 3:16).

Father God, Your love is amazing and powerful, sacrificial and eternal.
