November 21-27, 2022: Weekly Prayer Calendar

Monday-Thursday’s prayers were written by our 9th-12th grade students.

Monday, November 21. God of learning, thank you for curiosity and the ability to learn new things.

Tuesday, November 22. God of abundance, thank you that we have all of our basic needs met.

Wednesday, November 23. God of beauty, thank you for the colorful leaves we get to enjoy during this time of year.

Thursday, November 24. Faithful God, thank you for the morning sun that comes up each new day.

Friday, November 25. Thank you, Father, for Your loving care for me, for knowing my needs and knowing how best to meet them. “And my God will meet all your needs according to the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus” (Philippians 4:19).

Saturday, November 26. We thank You, Lord, for the gift of the Holy Spirit and the joy, peace, and hope He gives us as He dwells in us. “May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit” (Romans 15:13).

Sunday, November 27—1st Sunday of Advent. “Sing, O Daughter of Zion; shout aloud, O Israel! Be glad and rejoice with all your heart, O Daughter of Jerusalem” (Zephaniah 3:14)! Lord, prepare our hearts to rejoice! We want to be glad today, and to rejoice with all our hearts. May we be filled with joy because we seek You and because You have saved us. Help us to sing and give You thanks as we wait for the coming of the Christ child (see also: Psalm 13:5; 1 Chronicles 16:10; Psalm 28:7b).
