What an amazing day we had serving at Battle Line boxing gym. Jared shared with us the story of Mayfield Pennington who started the gym as an outreach to youth in the area. After he died a few years ago, the gym fell in disrepair and squatters moved into the basement. Our job was demolishing the apartment to get it ready for the new drywall.
We filled a ten yard dumpster with debris.

New Beginnings Church, that runs the gym, has a coffee shop downtown Pikesville. As a thank-you for our hard work, we were treated to iced coffee and smoothies!
Back to our home sweet home at Grace Bible for dinner, games, and well-deserved SLEEP!
